Vincent (aka Vinnie) is a 3 1/2 year old French Bulldog.

Vinnie was well loved by his mom; however, he has some medical needs that just became too much to handle when coupled with other life challenges.

Vinnie has symptoms of megaesophagus. He regurgitates his food and water. He eats slurry-type food in a Bailey Chair (which will be included in his adoption) and can only drink water in the form of Knox Blox (Jello).
Learn more about Megaesophagus here.
This kid is super sweet and polite. He's already neutered and up to date on vaccines &  monthly preventatives. He'll be seen by Dr Busch in the next couple weeks for a throughout checkup.

Vinnie must eat in an elevated position.
A Bailey chair is a specially designed chair that allows the dog to sit upright. This places the dog in a position to allow gravity to do the work of the esophagus.

Vinnie wears a Neck Hug to elevate his esophagus.

The Neck Hug raises the pups head a bit above body level while lying down. Many ME pups wear a Neck Hug most of the day as well.
It keeps saliva from po
oling in the esophagus and coming back up.
Vinnie got a full check up with Dr Busch at Healthy Paws Animal Hospital. We sent off bloodwork, a urinalysis, and a fecal test.
