I generally prefer toys with larger sized openings for bulldogs. Although Kongs are great for most dogs, I've never really been successful using them with bulldogs. The hole just isn't big enough for their tongues to get the mixture out. 

"Recipe" Ideas....

Here are some of our favorite recipes to stuff in food toys. There's no real measurements. Just mix up with enough yogurt/pumpkin/etc as a base to stuff it. There's no right or wrong way here folks, your dog is gonna love it! 

Freezing the toys will make them last longer, as the mixture will be harder to get out.... but it's not necessary. You can stuff and give immediately too. 
Thanksgiving Dinner:
Ingredients:
  • pumpkin puree
  • unsweetened dried cranberries (look for ones with no added sugar!)
  • apple sauce
  • baby spinach
  • shredded turkey
Mix all ingredients together in a bowl. Split mixture between food toys and freeze.
Chimkin Pot Pie:
Ingredients:
  • Shredded Chicken
  • Mashed Sweet Potatoes
  • Frozen Peas and Carrots
Mix all ingredients together in a bowl. Split mixture between food toys and freeze.
Strawberry Banana Shake
Ingredients:
  • Mashed Banana
  • Chopped Strawberry
  • Yogurt
​Mix all ingredients together in bowl. Split mixture between food toys and freeze.
Veggie Delight:
Ingredients:
  • Shredded Carrots
  • Shredded Zucchini
  • Sweet Potato or Pumpkin

Mix all ingredients together in a bowl. Split mixture between food toys and freeze.
Fruit Salad:
Ingredients:
  • Blueberries
  • Bannana
  • Apples
  • Plain Greek Yogurt

Chop up fruits of your choice and mix with greek yogurt. Split mixture between food toys and freeze.

Pina Colada

Ingredients:
  • Canned crushed pineapple in juice concentrate (not syrup)
  • Shredded coconut
  • Greek Yogurt
Mix all ingredients together in bowl. Split mixture between food toys and freeze.
