💜 I'm Adopted!! 💜
Meet Sugar Bear!! Sugar came to us after her human mom passed away. She is only 4 years old...very playful! Sugar gets along great with other bulldogs. Can be breed selective with other dogs (no yellow labs). Sugar was in Stage 4 Kidney Disease when she came in, but with a high moisture diet and some kidney health supplements, her values have improved drastically! This girl deserves a second chance at a loving home.
Big day for sugar bear… She went to the vet, got a bath, had a Pup Cup, and picked out a new harness We updated her rabies vaccine and titered for distemper and parvo today. We also sent off lab work to assess her current kidney levels. She will need a dental soon.... Her teeth are really bad. She’s a whopping 71 pounds so she’ll start a diet that will also be better for her kidney health. She did really good; granted we have her a little meds to help calm her. Being separated from her family is stressful but she’s such a sweet girl. She just needs someone to comfort her and be patient as she learns to trust. We will update as soon as we get labwork back and see where we go from here. Welcome Sugar Bear!
Waitin at Starbucks!!! Pup Cups are Yummy!!
Bath and a New Harness that fits!!!
02/12/20 Update: Sugar Bear is settling in to her foster home ❤️ Unfortunately her lab work came back and she is in Stage 4 Kidney Disease. She’s on a high moisture diet now and we will be checking her blood pressure soon and probably doing an ultrasound of her kidneys so we can see what they look like. We have a lot of big medical cases right now. Any donation is super appreciated |
For the next hour Sugar Bear barked whenever she saw an empty hand #moretreatsplease
03/16/20 Update:
Guess what guys!!! My creatinine improved from 4.0 to 3.4 & my BUN improved from 60 to 30! That’s great news! I’m on a high moisture diet (mix of Dave’s restricted protein/phosphorus canned food & The Honest Kitchen dehydrated raw). And some kidney support supplements. I will need to continue to have labs checked every 3-6 months. But I’m now officially available to adoption to someone who will continue to support my kidneys (a high moisture diet - either canned, dehydrated, or raw, or a combo of that) and good supplements (such as Aminavast kidney support or Standard Process etc). I’m not crazy about yellow labs, but I get along with other bulldogs great. I wanna play with the cats here. I’m a big gal so I’m not the most graceful, but I’m overall good with kids. |
Breakfast in bed? Yes please! TGIF! Sugar eats a raw or home cooked diet for her kidneys , which have shown amazing improvement since the diet change. Let’s hear it for MOISTURE! #nomorekibble ❤️ |
Hey guys. Guess what! I’m having a slumber party at a new house for awhile. If I like it here, I get to stay forever.
