Neville post-vet pupdate:
We have another critical case of Cuteness Overload! He was such a good boy for his vet visit. We drew labs , including heartworm/tick born disease test, fecal, and preop labs. He got a rabies vaccine; unfortunately because we don’t have any previous history we had to do a 1yr instead of a 3 yr We titered for Distemper/Parvo. *** this Saturday 12-4pm Youngblood's Natural Animal Care Center & Massage is having a Titer clinic - check it out! All labs are sent to Dr. John Robb - Protect the Pets- titers are extremely reasonable through Dr Robb. We use them frequently to titer. Always titer before vaccinating! Ok back to Neville. Ears are better but still cruddy. He’s on ear meds for a couple weeks. He’s also on meds for his eyes (thank you Sandra for the recent donation of eye meds! Perfect timing!!) his toes look better from his spa soaks , but we’re starting some antibiotics to wipe out what’s left. So we will also be bumping up his probiotics while on meds. If his labs look ok, he’ll be having neuter and cherry eye surgery on the 29th! Donations to his care are appreciated ! Don’t forget we have a blanket raffle going on now!nhttps://www.hoosierbulldogrescue.com/2020blanketraffle.html |
10/31/20 Happy Halloween frens!!! This kid is feeling pretty crummy post-op so he’s getting a recheck at 1pm today. Fundraisers are so important for us. The photo on the right is this month’s vet bill! Super huge thank you to Bargersville Veterinary Hospital for always giving us such an amazing rescue discount!! |
10/31/20 Appointment Update: Neville's lungs are definitely full of crud… glad we got him in for an x-ray. We sent out a sample for a culture after surgery on Thursday… He had a lot of mucus on the trach tube when they removed it. That’s still pending, but we’re going to start another antibiotic now and hopefully that’s one he is responsive to. But as soon as the culture comes back we can change if needed. We will be doing lots of nebulizers and diffusing of animalEO this weekend. Please send him some healing vibes. |
Ok guys. My culture came back. I’m growing some super bugs & resistant to a lot of stuff but we’ve got some antibiotics on board that should do the trick. I still sound kinda icky sometimes, but overall better. My eyeballs also look better. My tootsies are doing good too & I’m a lot lighter in the back. If you know what i mean ? I also went on my first Home Depot trip on Sunday. I was very excited & peed on a Christmas tree. Apparently indoor trees are not to be peed on?? Live & learn |
