We received message after message on our Facebook page about this poor girl being sold on a Facebook Buy, Sell, Trade page. We requested they surrender to rescue but did not hear back. Then one person messaged us that they had just purchased her and wanted to surrender to rescue. The owners had only had her 2 months. They didn't ask for the buyer's name, if they've had bulldogs (or any dogs) before, or any information at all. All they wanted was to get rid of her that night and to get $150. The person who bought her showed up at the meeting point (a park) and here came a guy with the dog....no collar, no leash. She handed over the money, got in the car, and off they went. This little dog's life could have been so different had this person not been her Saving Grace that night. Here's her story....

My freedom ride!

My first night....The Blonde Lady said that her Baby Bear must be visiting from the rainbow bridge because I went to his favorite spot - on top of the crate!

I also met all the other Diva Dogs and the naked cats.

...and got a bath so I don't stinks no more!

Pupdate! 4-16-2019

When I was picked up by HBR, my old owner said I was spayed, and it turns out, that was NOT true! I also had some broken teeth that needed fixed!

Meeka went in for a spay and dental appointment and did great! She is back at her foster home recovering. They removed 3 broken teeth in total, so she will be eating soft food for a few days. Stay tuned for more updates on Meeka!
