Welcome to HBR 7 year old Kingston! This kid will need to get started on a high quality diet and get his tail pocket infection under control We’ll get him to the vet and a full work up soon to make sure there are no other issues going on.
Kingston is such a sweet boy. He’s settling into his foster home well. He’s had an initial bath and his tail and wrinkles cleaned out. His family without a doubt loved him very much, but bulldogs require so much extra care. A high quality diet and daily skin care is a must to avoid issues like these. We’ll get some Natural Dog Company Snout & Skin Soothers going and most importantly a high quality diet (thank you PetPeople for your recent food donation!) We’ll make a vet appt for him tomorrow while we’re at the vet for Neville also. Because he’s been on a high starch dry food, his teeth are also in terrible shape. He’ll definitely need a dental with some extractions. This kid has a long way to go but we’re excited to see his transformation. Donations for his care are so appreciated.

Good morning! Kingston had a vet appt 2 wks ago & has a follow-up recheck this week. He’s been on antibiotics & an antifungal med for his skin & some dewormer for tapeworms. He’s also been getting medicated baths several times a week. Great news - his heartworm test was negative & his labs look really good!

Are you done working yet? I checked your planner (aka shredded it) so it looks like your schedule is clear for the rest of the year. Let’s pencil in some belly rubs, cuddles, and snackaroos.

At the vet ! Waiting on an ear cytology. Sending out a culture on my tail pocket gunk so we can get the right antibiotic and wipe out whatever’s growing in there. But overall I’m doing loads better. Skin/wrinkle/ear inflammation is all down enough that I can get my rabies vaccine today. I got a dose of Benadryl and homeopathic Lyssin before We titered for Distemper/Parvo instead of blindly vaccinating. I’m still protected from previous vaccines so no need to repeat.

This guy has his dental tomorrow!! He has a730am drop off so he’s spending the night here. ☺️ His teeth are something awful so I’m sure it will be a big procedure. Please keep him in your thoughts

I appreciate Nevilles support. But could he like be supportive from da backseat? □ -Kingston It’s dental day!!!! Goodbye rotting teef, hello sparkling fangs and good breath. □

Hey everyone ! I’m awake from surgery and recovering well!! I’m about to head back home to my foster momma. I had nine teeth extracted today! The rest were cleaned and polished up really well. Some of them still have some weird black staining that wouldn’t come off but of course you don’t want to over-polish because that can cause issues too. But the icky ones are gone so I’ll be pain free eating and chewing bones now. Yay!
Also notable ....
My ears got a good flush today. No more bacteria was seen so that’s great! Just a little debris so foster mom will keep up the flushes once a week.
My tail pocket is also infection free now!! Foster mom will continue to clean it daily and keep it dry and powdered.
My fur is super soft and shiny. My skin isn’t as red either.

Hey frens! I’m doing great post op! I feel lighter with 9 less teeth which means I have lots of extra energy

He has a recheck in 2 weeks just to be sure his mouth is healing well from his dental extractions. ❤️
