💜 I'm Adopted 💜

Greta was surrendered to local all breed rescue (in a choke chain so tight they had to cut it off ). They reached out to us to see if we could take her for specialized care. She is 7, not spayed, has a lick granuloma on her paw, ear issues, & crystals in her urine. They discovered that she had crystals in her urine and their vet recommended prescription diet and x-rays to check for stones. She was having a difficult time in her foster home, so they reached out to us to see if we would take on her issues. Of course we said yes. We immediately put her on a real food home-cooked diet created specifically for the type of crystals she has in her urine. We then followed up with our veterinarian and did complete labs as well as a urinalysis. Overall everything looks great and she no longer has crystals in her urine and no stones were seen during the ultrasound of her bladder

Greta underwent surgery today to be spayed, have a dental cleaning, and have her elongated corrected. We will continue to monitor her to see how she does post op. She has had some mild regurgitation issues, which we were thinking maybe due to her palate. If those issues continue, we will follow up with our veterinarian to figure out what’s causing it.

12-1-19 Greta Update:
Greta saw the vet yesterday. We sent off lab work and a urinalysis. She has a history of crystals, but we’ve already changed her diet and no crystals were found in house on the slide (Follow Dr Judy Morgan D.V.M on Facebook for more info on healthy whole food diets!) We are also treating the little mass/cyst on her paw topically. It’s come down some so hopefully continues to improve. She’s scheduled to be spayed later this month, she will also have her palate assessed and possibly corrected as well as a dental cleaning at that time.

12-3-19 Update on labs:
Labs came back for Greta .. Perfect! Including urinalysis! No more crystals.Greta eats a home cooked low oxalate diet with a little Fromm kibble. Feeding real whole foods is truly life changing! Interested in learning more about healing your dog through whole foods? Get yourself a copy of Dr Judy Morgan D.V.M’s book Yin & Yang (and From Needles to Naturals also). Plus every morning Dr Morgan does a live Facebook video addressing different topics of health in our pets. You will learn SO MUCH and your pets health will transform! Also ... hi from Cooper
