Great news for little Bennie. The vet did a skin scrape and no mites were seen! We will keep up his protocol tho to make sure they stay gone. He gets a dehydrated raw diet, immune supplements, Chinese herbs, & a blend of AnimalEO oils to treat the mites & pupcups of course

Getting a check up at Bargersville Veterinary Hospital! Getting X-rays to look at my esophagus and spine. Plus having an evaluation to see if there are any Chinese herbs to slow my roll a bit. My separation anxiety is .... actually we’ve been working on it. It’s like 25% improved Can’t wait for good boi camp end of June with Click Treat Repeat Canine Coaching, LLC

I’m def a typical sourpatch frenchie.... a little sweet... a little sour I’ve been working hard on my separation anxiety but I may need to go to Good Boi Camp for extra help. Plus I need neutered still. And my palate and nares done so I can breath. I’m still undergoing natural treatment for my mange. It’s improving but it’s a slow process to rebuild the gut biome and strengthen the immune system.
That’s where you come in... it happens to be #fivedollarfriday If everyone donated just $5, we would be able to take care of everyone’s issues without worrying. How great would that be. Ways to donate : Venmo : @hoosierbulldogrescue PayPal : paypal.com/paypalme/hoosierbulldogrescue |
Bennie update :
Bennie had a vet appt this week also! (That's 6 vet appts this week folks- Minnie had a recheck Monday also - please note the donation button lol ) One of our concerns is that he’s frequently kind of hunched over... he stands stiffly and awkwardly. If you dont know, French bulldogs are prone to IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease). So we asked our vet to take some X-rays and sure enough , he has 4 areas of herniation. We already started him on some disc supplements but he’ll need a neuro consult to explore what’s the best course of action. We certainly don’t want it to get worse and find him needing an emergency spinal surgery in the future. So now I’m backing begging for more money I’ll be buying another lottery ticket tonight too lol Please consider donating to his care. Spinal issues are not cheap. He’s still being treated for mange and will need to be neutered once he’s healthier. Tilly needs eye and palate surgery next month as well as spay. Waiting for my appt with the neurologist at VCA Animal Hospitals. I know they said come fasting , but I’m sure a lick of that PupCup won’t hurt. Just set it down and look away. No harm no foul. -Bennie
Please if everyone could share our posts. We have a LOT of medical bills for these babies and any donations are so appreciated Thank you!!! ways to donate : On this post (when FB let’s me add the donation button- sometimes can take up to an hour) PayPal: HoosierBulldogRescue@gmail.com Venmo: @hoosierbulldogrescue |
Headed to training!
|
The trainer says Bennie is doing very well at Good Boi Camp. He’s gaining confidence and doing well with his crate training / separation anxiety. Bennie would be best suited to be the only pupper in the home, even after training. But he’s great with cats! He’ll be neutered and have his palate surgery next month. Interested in adopting? Fill out an app online!
(Photo : Bennie was picking up his Answers Pet Food from Platinum Paws before going to Click Treat Repeat Canine Coaching, LLC. He’s doing so well on Answers and will need to continue it in his forever home). |
Picking this dude up tomorrow from the trainer. We still need a foster or adopter for Bennie… no dogs or young kids but fine with cats!

I’m legal now bishes. That’s right, my immune system is finally strong enough that I was able to get my rabies vaccine today. And in a couple weeks I will be neutered. Pawsitive thoughts needed please!!
We are proceeding with surgery today. It will be a rough recovery anyway but I’m at an extra high risk. So we need allllll the pawsitive thoughts and good juju yo can muster please I’m already at the vet but here’s a pic of me being sexy this morning. -Bennie |
Just got a call from one of the doctors, he’s under anesthesia right now. They started with the neuter… Already running into some weird stuff with him. Because of course none of these dogs can ever be normal LOL
So basically the tube that carries the little baby Bennies to the testicles is super thick on one side. So they called to see if it be OK if they did sort of an exploratory surgery up in there to see what’s going on. Of course we said yes… They haven’t started the palate or nares yet. Please keep those pawsitive thoughts coming !! |
Update 2- they would like to send out the thickened tube for analysis. His lymph node is also swollen, they aspirated it and are sending that out as well. They just closed up his abdomen and are starting on his palate and nares. His blood pressure has been a little low, but stable. He probably won’t be ready to go home until closer till 6 PM tonight

Oh man. We are headed home but he is NOT happy Thank you to Bargersville Veterinary Hospital for taking such good care of him today!
