5/8/2021 Welcome Riley!
Riley is just 2 years old and reportedly already in Stage 3 kidney disease. We’ll get her started on Answers Kidney Protocol and get a good work up from our integrative vet ASAP.
Donations are appreciated! We have a lot of high need dogs right now  Thank you.

5/9/21 - Riley is at Perfect Penny’s Good Girl Camp to learn how to play nice with others.   She has some very serious kidney issues, but the reason for surrender was actually due to her reactivity in the home.

Riley here. I also had a vet visit today right after Bennie ☺️. We did lots of lab work, and checked my blood pressure which was normal today. Yay. I’m in stage 2 almost 3 kidney disease at just 2 years old. I may not have a super long life, but right now I’m pretty stable and looking for a quiet furever home that will love me. My ideal home would be with no other pets and no kids. Maybe someone who’s a retired homebody perhaps? Or I could keep you company while you work from home. What do you say? Give me a chance? 🙏🏼💕

Unfortunately we don’t have good news for Riley. Her lab work shows that she’s now in kidney failure. Unfortunately by the time kidney disease shows up in lab work, the kidneys are already functioning at a significantly decreased capacity. kidney disease is not reversible, all you can do is try to stabilize it and prevent it from worsening. we did everything we could but, and only two years old Riley is already in kidney failure. Today she began seizing during subQ fluid administration. We had to make the heartbreaking decision to let her go at our local ER.
