Lily came to us from a shelter in northern Indiana. She has already been spayed and she is up to date on vaccines. Her teeth look great and she has no major health issues! She has few facial wrinkles that need cleaned, just a daily wipe of her tail pocket.
Lily loves car rides and is a perfect copilot. She also loves to cuddle on the couch and watch TV with her human.
Lily would do best as the only pet in the home. With a proper slow introduction, she is tolerant of other animals, but will resource guard food and attention. You can tell she is less comfortable when out with the other dogs and we hope we can find her a home where she has ALL the attention.
Lily also needs a fenced in yard for privacy during potty time. She gets too distracted by other people and animals if leash walked and doesn’t finish her business. She does much better with a fenced in yard where she can find the right spots (yes plural). She loves to run around the yard and play with jolly balls. She is potty-trained with a consistent schedule during the day, but may have some accidents at night. She is crate trained and enjoys a Yak chew or a peanut butter Kong during quiet time.
Lily obviously has several adoption requirement, which has made her a little bit of a tougher placement.

09/17/19 - Wellness Visit!
The vet determined that Lily looks great! No parasites or issues and her labs all came back normal! She also believes that Lily is between 4-5 years old, and not 7 as the shelter had estimated. Lily's hives are completely cleared up but she will need her new family to keep an eye on her and give her some Benadryl if her allergies start to act up. She has been on a new high quality food which has also helped her skin tremendously! The vet is giving the all clear and Lily Munster is ready for her forever home!

Lily looooves to get all of the human attention and would do really well with an individual or family that would give her all of the belly rubs that she desires. She would also do well with a big backyard to play in as she has a lot of energy and would love somewhere to run around! Lily is working on her leash walking and her manners as she can get very excited on her walks around the block. She also has a high prey drive and would do best in a home without any cats.

1/31/20 Update:
This kid has an ear infection from a certain food. Although many consider this a good food I’ve not had luck with it & I’ve removed it from our approved list. Lily has done well on a variety of donated food including chicken formulas, so I was hoping she could tolerate it. ((Sigh)) It ALL comes down to diet! She got some long term ear meds since she freaks out when I try to apply ear meds every day at home & we got her nails trimmed! She’s also starting a new Chinese herb to hopefully help her calm the *bark*down. #crazyeyes We’ve been using CBD and flower essence but she still is a bit cray cray. Despite pre-meds & lots of cookies & PB she still had to be muzzled at the vet. She just gets scared & then reactive. We will keep working on it. She’s so sweet when no one else is around lol |

Saturday a certain dog (I won’t name names but it wasn’t me) hit his giant ol fang on The Blonde Lady’s brand new AirBook (brand new = 2 months old!!) and it cracked the screen!!! Epic fail for @apple airbook quality. We’ve had MacBook Pros for over 10 years and have never had an issue. Never getting an AirBook again. But anyway, huge shout out to The Mac Experience in Castleton for their awesome curbside service and for getting it fixed with lightening speed!!

Poor LilyMunster she laid out in the sun yesterday & came in covered in hives & limping. The hives have gone down with Benadryl but she won’t let us look at her foot well enough to see if somethings in it. We’ll have to call the vet first thing in the morning to see if they can work her in. She’ll probably have to be sedated because well.... the noises she made when we tried to look at her foot sounded like a demon being abolished during an exorcism. |

Just dropped this girlie off at the vet. Thank you Bargersville for working her in!! Well today was not the best day. Sorry Bargersville Veterinary Hospital I turn into a demon when I get nervous. I’m on antibiotics and Benadryl for the next 10days. Good news- nothing IN my paw. Maybe it was an insect bite. My hives look better too. I’m headed home to sleep it off. |

Working on integrating Lily to the bedroom at night. We couldn’t do that before because she hated Lucy (....and Charles and journee but they’re sleeping in the guest room while we work with Lily.) So far, she’s done well the last 3 nights. Although she tolerates Vin & H outside, she’s still very reactive around the couch , toys , and food. Hence their look of concern with this experiment ... They’re good sports and great examples of being the best doggos ever. ❤️ Goodnight! |

Lily has been a little under the weather lately. We noticed a few little white lump things under her tongue last week. Of course she won’t let us look too closely. So she has an appt next week to be sedated for an exam and possible removal. But couple days ago she had some loose and threw up once. We’re keeping a close eye on her and she’s getting extra tummy rubs. She’s eating a bland diet of ground Turkey and pumpkin/squash which seems to have helped a little. Please send her some pawsitive thoughts. |

Well that was weird. The little canker sore looking masses in my mouth, have apparently disappeared. But it was not a wasted visit, while I was sedated they cleaned my ears, clean my tail pocket, and trimmed my nails. I’m like a whole new woman.

Poor Lily. She hates everything. We try to make things as pleasant and fear free as possible. But a muzzle is still necessary for everyone’s safety when we do medical procedures. No , muzzling a bulldog is not dangerous if you have a well fitted mesh one. There are three major factors to take into consideration when choosing a muzzle… The dog must be able to eat and drink; if the dog were to vomit, the muzzle would not prevent the vomit from coming out (ie it isn’t causing them to choke); and it does not impair breathing/ ability to pant. |

New Starbucks creation we saw on tiktok - strawberry frapp with toffee nut syrup and frapp chips. Lily couldn’t sample this one, but she gives her standard order of a PupCup a continued 4 paws up.

It’s such a perfect a bulldog weather , these 2 have been getting walks twice a day. Hopefully we don’t have too hot of a summer.
also, sidenote… We don’t have any sidewalks or even shoulders to the road that we live on…i always stop and move off the side of the road, but huge shout out to people who actually move over into the other lane for us. Seriously, It takes nothing to just be thoughtful to other people. But it means so much. |
