Intake 12/15/21 - Late night welcome to baby Bruno.
Will post more tomorrow because it’s already past my bedtime (OK we all know I have insomnia and I don’t sleep, but I would physically be laying in bed by now .. so same thing ) But how could I say no to this face? |
The dogtor got me on the schedule today so I don’t have to wait! We’re going to get me on track ASAP !

Bruno has a very long road to recovery but he’s making amazing progress already.

1/19/22 Update - Baby Bruno had his first vet recheck today. So much improvement! He’s still a yeasty beast but he really has come so far in only a month. He’ll stay on the medications for another month. And we will also be moving him to a fresh diet only. No processed kibble at all. He loves his daily Epsom salt foot soaks and daily rub down of Natural Dog Company skin soother. |

4/14/22 Update - Guess what guys! My big surgery day is on Monday! I’m getting the works - cherry eye repair , palate surgery, neuter , and tail amp! Wish me luck!

4/18/22 Update - Here we go! It’s surgery day! Bye bye cherry eye. Bye bye balls. Bye bye tail pocket. Bye bye elongated palate. I’m about to be a new man.

4/19/22 Update - The vet did not get to the neuter on 4/18, so Bruno had to return the next day for this procedure. Surgeries were successful - no issues. Now the healing begins. Post op for palate and tail amp surgeries are always rough.

4/27/22 Update - "We don’t talk about Bruno’s nose nose…"
His nostrils are healing from surgery so we have to skip the Natural Dog Company snout soother for about a week. Cringe. Can’t wait for the transformation when we start using it again. Stay tuned! |
5/2/22 Update - 11 dog beds. 3 couches. 2 human beds. 4 crates. Ummmmmmm I think imma sleep on this Rubbermaid.

5/5/22 Update - Headed to the vet for a recheck! Personally I think my butt is a 10/10 now. Let’s see what the dogtor thinks. Hopefully I’ll get my stitches out today!

5/16/22 Update - I got my sutures out! Doesn’t my butt look like a million bucks? Cuz that’s how much it cost! Just kidding. It was an expensive surgery, but not THAT expensive… But you guys bought me this new butt so I’m not in pain …and I’m super appreciative. There are a lot of puppers in Rescue right now who need expensive medical care. Thank you all so much for continuing to donate and make it possible for Hoosier Bulldog Rescue to continue to save dogs like me!

8/13/22 Update - He’s steadily improving. When we get a yeast case this bad it just takes time. But what a difference already. He’s doing amazing.
