Maxwell

Picture
4/11/2o18: This little guy came to us from Animal Welfare League today. Estimated to be only 3 years old, he was dumped outside their shelter - they found him in a crate outside their facility! He was likely abandoned due to his multiple medical issues- He has a prolapsed rectum, a severe eye infection, and is heartworm positive! He'll be receiving immeidate medical care. Donations are much appreciated and desperately needed!!!!

More photos of this poor guy on his way down to Indy..... he’s in bad shape 💔 - he will be going immediately to the emergency vet.
Prolapsed rectum, severe eye infection, and heartworm positive. Please share! If you can, donations are much needed to help save this boy!!!
Thank you all so much for your donations!

The blonde lady named me Maxwell. She’s hoping I’m strong like a cup of black coffee. ☕️ 💪🏼

Headed to the vet now! Please donate if you can.
We have just left Maxwell at the ER/Specialty clinic. Not only will he receive continual medical care overnight, but I know he will get all the love and cuddles he can stand with Molly as his tech. He couldn’t possibly be in better hands.
So the plan : They are concerned with his severe malnutrition. They are doing xrays of his chest to see how far along his heartworm disease is and see if that is contributing to his weight loss. They will do abdominal xrays as well. They will also do a full bloodwork panel. Bottom line tho (“bottom” line... get it... bottom ? No? Too soon for butt jokes? Sorry) seriously though the bottom line is that this is surgical. The prolapse is severe that there is no other way to correct it other than surgical intervention. So now all we can do is hope and pray that he’s well enough to undergo surgery tomorrow. His overall health is very poor. But he’s so sweet and loving and he deserves a chance!!!! But that chance doesn’t come without a cost.
Overnight care and diagnostics alone is estimated at $1200-1400. His surgery will be an additional 3,000-4,000. Please help us save this guy. Any amount helps! Our PayPal is [email protected]
As we sat in the ER waiting, we got another email about an English bulldog and a local shelter. I haven’t even opened that message yet. We can only help as many as we have resources for. Thank you to everyone who continues to donate to help these poor babies! They don’t deserve this pain and suffering. Thank you for making it possible to give them a second chance !!
